1- Shopping at What a Host
To order online with What a Host, you must be 16 years old or older if paying with debit/credit card or gift card.
When you're finished shopping, click on “Shopping bag" to place your order. Price and availability will be displayed. You may also edit your order at this time. When you’re happy with your order, proceed to checkout.
To save time the next time you shop, you can choose to save your credit card details on our secure server, so you won't have to enter them every time you check out.
Once you have placed your order, you will receive an email confirmation. An additional email will be sent to notify you that your order has dispatched with a tracking link to trace your order. Further emails will then be sent to track the order until delivery
HOW CAN I ADD A DISCOUNT ON MY ORDER?
Discount codes can either be added in the shopping bag or in checkout. There will be a section on the right hand side of the shopping bag where you can select the discount you want to apply.
AN ITEM ADDED TO MY SHOPPING BAG WAS SUDDENLY SOLD OUT AT CHECKOUT. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?
If an item is very popular, it might be available when you place it in your shopping bag, but sold out once you reach the checkout. An item added to your shopping bag is saved for 7 days, but availability cannot be guaranteed.
I DIDN’T RECEIVE ALL OF MY ORDER?
Please note that our decoration products may arrive in separate parcels, and may be delivered by a different curriers. You can track your parcel with the details in your shipping confirmation email. If your order was due to be delivered in one parcel and any items are missing, please contact Customer Service.
CAN I CANCEL OR AMEND MY ORDER?
We start processing your order quickly which means we can’t make any changes once it’s confirmed. This includes changing the delivery address or delivery option. However you may be able to cancel your order and place a new one instead.

Otherwise, we charge a fee depending on the weight of the parcel.
Deliveries in the UK excl NI of less than 2 kilos will be charged at £3.99, and £6.28 for Northern Ireland.
Deliveries in the UK excl NI between 2 and 5 kilos will be charged at £4.99, and £7.44 for Northern Ireland.
Deliveries in the UK excl NI heavier than 5 kilos will be charged at £5.99, and £10.50 for Northern Ireland.
We tend to dispatch orders on the day or the day following the order.
Following the courier collection, the delivery is usually scheduled within 1 to 2 business days.
WHO WILL DELIVER MY PACKAGE?
What a Host usually work with Hermes for small packages and UPS for larger deliveries.
HOW CAN I TRACK MY PARCEL?
As soon as we start packing your order we will send you a shipment confirmation email with the delivery information and a link to track your order online.
You will then be able to track your order on the dedicated website as well as with the courier website directly with the tracking number that will be shared to you.

HOW DO I RETURN MY ONLINE ORDER?
We are doing everything we can to process returns as soon as possible.
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

DO I NEED TO PAY FOR MY RETURN?
All returns because of a defect are free of charge.
Other returns will be subject to the shipping costs charged by our selected courier which we will share with you when asking for a return. Alternatively, you will be able to return the package with another courier of your choice at your expense.
I WANT TO RETURN MY ORDER BECAUSE IT IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED IT, CAN I GET A REFUND?
Yes. If the products you received are not what you expected, you can proceed to a return within 14 days from the time of delivery as per the conditions mentioned in the refund policy.
I RECEIVED A BROKEN ITEM. WHAT CAN I DO?
If some of the items have arrived broken, please contact us at email@example.com within 3 days from the time of delivery so we can send you a new one as soon as possible free of charge.
HOW WILL I BE REFUNDED? Once we have received your return shipment in our warehouse, we will send you a notice of cancellation via email, confirming receipt of the parcel. Your balance will be refunded within 14-28 days after you returned the items. You will be refunded to the same payment method you used to make the purchase. If you have paid by credit or debit card, we will refund the balance to the card originally used.
2- Products & Quality
Our cutleries are coloured stainless steel cutleries. The colouring is made from titanium colours. They all have passed the food safety LFGB certification.
We typically advice not to clean coloured cutleries into the dishwasher to extend the lifetime of the colouring.
Our textile materials are described in every product description.
All the textiles can be washed in the washing machine.
Make sure dry flowers are kept away from fire sources of high temperature environment.
Our philosophy regarding sustainability is to offer our customers quality products that can be used and kept for an extended period of time.
We aim at offering products that can be used over and over. All our tablescapes come with their reusable deco box made to store your decoration for the long term.
